In Service: April 29, 1986 - March 22, 1989 K9-40, K-9 Liberty Handler- Police Officer John Hall Liberty was searching a neighborhood in Pacific Area for two shooting suspects. They were wanted for ADW. Liberty located the suspects in a detached garage to the rear of a single family residence. The K9 engaged the first suspect. During the fight the suspect shot Liberty and Officer Hall. An Officer Involved Shooting occurred. The suspects were killed during an exchange of gunfire. Officer Hall was wounded and K-9 Liberty succumbed to his injuries. |
