Our TEAM

The Metropolitan Division, K9 Platoon, is comprised of one Lieutenant OIC, one Chief Trainer (Sergeant), four sergeants, three assistant trainers and fourteen K9 officers. The K9 Platoon currently fields two tracking and trailing canines (Bloodhounds), four gun detection canines and sixteen patrol service canines. The K9 Platoon is responsible for Citywide (498 square miles) deployment 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All off-hour requests are handled by stand-by teams.
